Norbury High School for Girls

GCSE Results: Pass Rate Well Above National Average

80% of GCSE results graded 4 or above

Norbury High students and staff were celebrating on GCSE results day after receiving grades that improved on last year, bucking a national trend which saw passes fall for the third year in a row.

Student progress improved across the board at the school with grades either matching or bettering the national average across every level 2 subject.

In terms of our pass rate, 80.3% of GCSE grades were awarded a 4 or above which compares with 67.6% received nationally; in English and maths, 69% of results at Norbury High scored a 4 or higher. Our student progress remains very good in comparison to the rest of the UK, particularly in English.

Many of our key stage 4 students will now go on to begin sixth form study with a significant number of them choosing to stay at Norbury High.

These results are reflective of the hard work and dedication of not only the students themselves but staff at the school, from senior leadership to support staff, as well as governors and supportive parents, whose input is highly valued.

We wish all our key stage 4 students well and look forward to hearing about their future adventures as they move on to the next stage in their learning journey.
